Body and Neck: The mahogany body of this LP model from Epiphone has a maple top that comes in assortment finishes, protected by a scratch plate for players to select. Mahogany and maple tonewood combination yields a resonant rich warm sound with extra clarity to the notes and produces a good amount of sustain in the end.

The hand set-neck is made of mahogany and rosewood or pau ferro for additional roomy warmth to the sound with 22 medium size frets garnished in trapezoid inlays. Epiphone Les Paul headstock is less tilted compared to a Gibson that some suggest, it is better in keeping the guitar in tune.
